- INTRODUCTION TO KICL
Capital University has institute of culture and Languages (ICL) which is under the auspice of the university and now offers English courses from Beginner to Advanced levels. Most of Somali students are concerning English barriers and therefore CU established this institute of Languages to foster English skills and Communication skills as well.
The name of the institute is now changed Dr. Kadare Institute of culture and languages (KICL) carrying the name of Dr. Hussein sh. Ahmed Kadare for his valuable and initiative role and commitment to the primitive script and lettering of Somali language as well as his excellence position in the improvement of the Somali Culture.
- CERTIFICATE OFFERED BY KICL:
Diploma in English Language will be granted to students after completing all requirement of the program
- KICL DURING OF THE WHOLE COURSE:
The maximum period of this course (from starter to advanced levels) will take for 12 months
(one Year), but it may take shorter according to candidate’sscoreontheplacement test.
- KICL COURSE LEVELS:
The institute offers an English course comprising of 4levels namely:
|1st level||Elementary||Three months|
|2nd level||Pre-intermediate||Three months|
|3rd level||Intermediate||Three months|
|4th level||UI/advance||Three months|
- KICL STUDY TIME (HOURS): Afternoon: 2:00 –4:00pm 4:00 –6:00pm
- KICL TUITION FEE:
- Twenty US dollars ($ 20 per month)
- KICL REGISTRATION FEES:
- Fifteen dollars ($ 15)
- KICL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Witting Application letter
- File for documents
- Receipt for Non-refundable Registration fee from Dahabshil or Salaam Bank CU acc.
- 4 ID photos of passport size
- Filling application form
- Pass through placement test

The intake of English course candidates by Dr. Kadare Institute of Capital University is four times a year as mentioned below.
